2022.01.21 18:01 ChrisShadow1 Having a good time, dunno if the developers will ever read any of this but what are some suggestions you guys may have to make this an even better experience?

Personally, I'd love to see mass dismantling and some actual trading. Unless I'm missing something, I feel like being able to trade cards with other players is kind of a major point to a trading card game. I could just craft the cards, sure, but I feel like that's a fun aspect we're missing out on.

2022.01.21 18:01 autotldr U.S. opposes plans to strengthen World Health Organization

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 70%. (I'm a bot)

Register now for FREE unlimited access to Reuters.comBRUSSELS, Jan 21 - The United States, the World Health Organization's top donor, is resisting proposals to make the agency more independent, four officials involved in the talks said, raising doubts about the Biden administration's long-term support for the U.N. agency.
Top European Union donors, including Germany, back the plan, along with most African, South Asian, South American and Arab countries, three of the European officials said.
The WHO confirmed there was currently no consensus among member states, and said talks were likely to continue until the annual meeting in May of the World Health Assembly, the agency's top decision-making body.
European donors in particular favour empowering, rather than weakening, multilateral organisations including the WHO.One European official said the U.S. plan "Causes scepticism among many countries", and said the creation of a new structure controlled by donors, rather than by the WHO, would weaken the agency's ability to combat future pandemics.
One of the European officials said other big countries, including Japan and Brazil, were also hesitant about the published WHO proposal.
Two of the European officials said China had not yet made its position clear, while a third official listed Beijing among the critics of the proposal.

2022.01.21 18:01 BigCookieCutter Bachelor degrees, General vs. Honours

I am currently enrolled in a accelerated program at the University of Windsor that will end with me obtaining a Honours BSc in Computer Science by May of 2023. However, the option exists where I can graduate early and have a BSC in Computer Science (General) byt the end of this summer semester. I'm trying to decided whether all that time and money is worth the distinction between the 2 degrees.
I currently have very high marks and find all my class work very easy, but I don't feel my time is valued. A lot of what is being taught is available in a much more in depth, up to date, and practical way on the internet. I'm supplementing my education with independant learning with this in mind, but don't feel I will be missing out on too much other than a credential if I choose to graduate early.
My main question is Just how valuable is the difference between the 2 degrees to employers
Some other factors that are influening my decision are:
-I do not want to work in Canada for more than a few years. Whether that means working for a CAN company remotely elsewhere(I'm aware this is very difficult), or working locally in another country.
-Total comp while important, is not nearly as important as the first point. I would trade a massive portion of my salary for good weather and QOL
-Due to the fast track nature of my program, I have very little I could show in the way of projects at this point and will not have an chance to do any internships or coop(due to sequencing)
-I am in a position financially where I would be able use the time I would save by graduating early to work on learning more practical knowlege and creating projects for 4-12 months. I would not be able to do this after graduating from the full length program due to tuition costs and time crunches.
TD,DR How important is the difference between a 3 year BSc in Comp Sci and a 4 year BSc with Honours?

2022.01.21 18:01 Fun_Assistant_1803 This subreddit and the discussion of abuse, mental illness and addiction

I think there could be a bit more understanding that this show deals with themes of mental illness, abuse and addiction. It's something that many viewers are brought relate to. Can we try to have a bit more of an understanding that those in the community might be suffering or impacted by these discussions? All the characters beyond very few are abusive and do terrible things, can we just acknowledge and be more tactful when bringing it up to defend, come at a fictional character within a fictional tv show about power?
